About

The blog

We are just a couple of gaming geeks that wanted to join the huge community that makes up the gaming world. We both have our roots in playing Dungeons & Dragons back when we were young. We have interests that go beyond table top gaming, however, from video games to trading card games to music. All of which will be touched on in this blog and probably quite a bit more.

This blog is a spare time hobby for us but we are trying to make it work and to provide quality content that readers would want to … well read. We will post as often as we are able to.

I’m an avid gamer, having started from a fairly early age. No matter what the genre, I’m usually more than willing to try it out and see if it’s something that I’ve got an interest in. Most popular for me, in the tabletop area, has been Pathfinder 1e, though I’ve recently expanded into some dnd 5e. I’m not one to hate on 4e, but they kinda lost me there for a moment. Nontabletop, I love video games and board games; both of these are things you’re likely to read about quite a bit. I prefer games that offer immersion and that can just suck me in, but I’ll occasionally take some time to enjoy a shooter or fighting game as well.

Professionally, I am kind of a jack of all trades. I’ve worked more jobs than any two average Americans combined and have a subset of skills that really shows that. I spend most of my time working or creating, and whenever possible, both. The rest of my time is spent trying to teach my little girl to be the most awesome person ever, but I’m quickly running out of material on that one. Will likely have to outsource soon.

Either way: dive in, enjoy and comment freely. All I ask is that you don’t be a dick and be kind to anyone else you encounter here. Hope to hear back from all of you.

I have been playing games for the probably 25-30 years, whether they be table top or video games. My favorite genre is RPG by far. I am an aspiring world builder and writer. I have been writing content for a world I have created for well over a decade at this point. I am also wanting to work toward fiction writing as well. All of this will be included on the blog, fingers crossed.

As for my professional life I am a web developer by day and will probably bring some of that knowledge to the blog if I am able to as well. My non-gaming hobbies include woodworking, creating crafts/t-shirts and electronics. I enjoy creating with my hands. I hope to bring these hobbies into the blog as well.

I hope you enjoy the blog, and please do not hesitate to leave me feedback on anything I post. I would love to hear from you.
